Lol the wheels would come flying off of the training department if that were to happen.

I wouldn't wish for a single new airplane on property right now.

Guys,
Just joined the thread. Looking for some clarification.
The flow to Delta; is that still in effect for pilots hired after 2010?
I'm looking to get back in the industry.
Furloughed out of Independence back in 2004.
3,200 TT, 1,200 in CRJ (SIC)
Any guidance would be appreciated.
Cheers

The Flow does not apply to anyone that was hired after 08/19/2010. You will benefit though from the movement because of the Flow. We still have some former Independence (ACA) people here.

No more flow, sorry. Guaranteed interview though if oh keep your nose clean. Good news is with everyone flowing that does have it pretty much every FO right now will be a captain inside 3 years. IF things go as planned.

Flow is ONLY for pilots on property when Compass was sold to Hulas.

A buddy of mine with eagle heard a rumor around there today that aa group put a bid for flying out for 170's. Republic has turned it down but compass has bid on it. Any one heard anything like this?
I'm assume we could take some flying but not all 60 aircraft, but I'm only in training so I don't know.

Don't doubt they bid on it but we'd implode from training. Lets just keep doin what we're doin and continue doing well.

I'd imagine TSH would bid on it. I mean why wouldn't you try to grow your business. That being said, I don't want the flying. I know all too well the feeling of getting undercut and airline downsizing and most of the pilots here have come from a downsized regional.

If they came at us with "Hay guyz we gots shiny new jets but u need to get paid leas" I think our pilot group would embrace the chance to demonstrate some unity with Eagle/xjt etc. We don't have many stereotypical shiny jet syndrome kids at Compass. Most of our pilots are on their second or third 121 gig - many of whom from companies that have shut down already -and as a result are well versed in the dog and pony show that is the rj industry.

For all it's misgivings TSH also does not have a history of bidding on flying that they cannot make money on. Either way American is gonna have to fork over more cash to get those rj's staffed, and hopefully all of our groups stand together and force American to just put that flying at mainline.

I agree 100%. I think TSH got by with the skin of their teeth in the contract arbitration and I think holdings got the better end of that deal.

I also agree that it would be dumb for TSH not to bid on that flying; however I'm sure the bid is a rude awakening for AMR in the form of "we need X more simulators and millions of dollars in bonuses to attract talent." Either way if AMR contracts out the new flying or gives it to Eagle/Envoy it going to cost them. In all honesty I'm guessing that Eagle is the cheaper option.
