With numbers like that, Compass looks like a great place to go for those on the outside. Does anyone know what they are looking for when choosing candidates for interviews these days? I have been told my application came up for review twice last month, but I heard nothing back. I'm nearly 2600 hrs TT with three jet type ratings, however I have no 121 experience.
I am attending a job fair next week at DFW solely for the purpose of meeting with Compass recruiters. Has anyone gotten hired through this method? Do you have any tips for a first time job fair attendee? I'm not completely sure what to expect.

Somebody did the math that there have been 24 awarded so far...another bid for 6 came out today (for February bidding). So that would be 30 as of right now. The estimates I have heard is from 115 to 140 captain upgrades are planned total to be done through the spring/summer.

I would imagine a SLC base would be cheaper for the company than an SFO or LAX base but I really have no idea how that works. I know when I lived in SLC I had a great time. It's a really fun city and if you're an outdoorsy kind of person it's hard to beat the location. The commute from MSP would be a big pain though.

haha I would hate to butt heads with a SkyBest pilot. A little competition in their Mecca would be a good character builder I heard stories of when Mesaba showed up with their shiny new 900s.

Expect the same to happen in Jan-June 2015 and 2016. After that, all flow eligible pilots will be gone. If everyone waits around for the flow (which many aren't and shouldn't) we would have 310ish pilots leave in the next 2.5 years. This doesn't include attrition - just flow numbers.

Are you able to reveal what some of these potential improvements are before the official revelation of the new CBA?
