I misspoke. The MCI-LAX rounds and LAX-SFO rounds start in September. There is also a bunch of LAX flying that is currently not loaded into the schedule that will start in January. Talking about PSC, SEA, LAS, PDX, etc... The DTW base is simply not needed today, much less with reduced East flying. 6 scheduled flights tomorrow in DTW.. you think that constitutes a base? Just let this whole thing play out... its all still in the works.
Also if you look at the schedule for LGA flying in January... you will see our flying has indeed been reduced. Shuttle replaces us on some of the LGA-DFW trips, we are no longer flying LGA-IAH, LGA-IND, LGA-JAX is down to one, and a bunch of other reductions. Are we out completely? No... but it is reduced.

dlnet, I would give the info, but it's supposed to be confidential
Look and play around on dlnet... there is a tab which links to an area which deal with schedules and planning.
I should mention you will need to look at different bulletins to get the full picture. Things are added, moved, discontinued. So you have to look at multiple files to piece all the puzzle together.

Wow good info, looks like things go into next year. Didn't see Lax stuff though... Unless I was looking at the wrong file.

Fly, you didn't miss it. It is in another file 444 or so? I edited my last post to include looking into the other files. Sorry I didn't add that in first, I guess that is what I get for doing 30 things at once

It must be summer because the fall schedule has come out and MSP pilots are closing DTW again. This has happened, without fail, every summer since Delta bought Northwest.
In the future when you decide speculate publicly please use the phrase "in my opinion" so the less informed don't spread your rumor as fact. It gets old talking flight attendants off the ledge.
Cheers,
John

How do you propose staffing the DTW-MTY-DTW flight after you close DTW?

Not saying it would be easy, or ideal, but MYR could be staffed with a MSP crew by way of SDF earlier in the morning. Following the turn, the crew could operate to an overnight or deadhead home.

Look closer. Not MYR but MTY. The turn is blocked just under 8 hours. That'll be tough to crew from elsewhere.
