Compass updates

!!!
But seriously, I am not playing the lateral move game. I am trying to focus on moving up, not to another regional, esp one owned by TSH.
Also at the moment I am focused on FOQ and getting my ATP done shortly. That will help me to move up not sideways.
However I do think for those looking for a job at a regional, Compass is a great selection right now. Come back in a year, and lets look again. Hopefully they dont get E190s and ask to get more pay to fly them compared to the 170 .

Interviewing on the 31st of Oct. So just a few questions for those who have done it before, I am just trying to understand the process. I understand that its the 3 tests, cognitive, psychological and job knowledge. Then after is the panel which is mostly HR not really technical questions. No SIM, is this correct? After all that if successful you do paperwork finger printing, drug test, then home. Thanks in advance for the help.

Tomorrow Comair will operate their final flight, CMR 3200 – JAX to MSP, Saturday morning, bringing to a close their 35 year history.

Anyone have any information on the job knowledge test. What kind of questions are on it and any sample test out there. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks

I am wondering if there are any Compass pilots that are tuned into the hiring process. I have been furloughed from American Airlines since 12/2002. I did not want to sit around waiting to see if they called me back so, I became a licensed attorney, earned an MBA and CFP, and I currently do anti-fraud and arbitration work dealing with investment securities. However, I have not done any flying and I would like to get back into it. It looks like American is going to be stagnate for a few years (or self-implode) so I just turned in an application for Compass. I would love fly out of MSP (I live 10 miles from the airport). I am wondering if any of the Compass pilots think that my lack of flying is a non-starter. Also, I also wondering what the trips are like for non-commuters (i.e. are there a lot of turns, are you working a lot on reserve…etc)?
Thanks,
Bob

I interviewed at CPZ and was not current. Give it a shot and study the gouges out there.
Good Luck
