Some will say I am being pessimistic but I am starting to think we won't see another AE till late November. The Monthly Update for October did sound more upbeat but the cloud is still hanging above us.

The summer flight ops base visits for Delta are going on right now. Based on the first peek at the work-in-progress summer 2013 flying schedule, I hear we can expect hiring at Delta winter 2013-2014.

I hope that's bad intel.

Winter 2013 is this coming January, amirite?

But I'm sure you meant late 2013 to sometime in 2014. Maybe.

We're splitting hairs trying to nail down the next AE to the month, but I also think Oct-Nov. The only variable is what kind of AE will it be. But there will be an AE. There has to be, one way or the other, to staff the 717's and 737's for next year. That may or may not mean hiring right now of course, but there will be another AE fairly soon.

Thanks for the info. I'm applying at CPZ to get me some of that underwing jet time. Just hoping for some movement if I get the job.

I know that there are at least 45 in the pool so even those waiting to get a class date should move up pretty quickly.

DL requires 1000 hours of T-tail time, with 500 winglet PIC preferred but not required.

I heard 750 preferred.. The big advantage for the CPZ guys is the DL REQUIREMENT of 300 hr autothrottle. I'm hearing no exceptions.
