I bid about 55% in my base. For October I got all commutable trips, but only 13 days off, while people around my seniority who did not bid for commutability received 14-16 days off. It is what it is.

Health Care and interview question
1. I was wondering how the health care was and how much is it every two weeks if you have a family?
2. What base would be the best for having the lowest reserve time MSP or DTW?
3. Are they still giving you an ATP and a type rating or did they do away with that?
4. Also, I was wondering about the test questions on the interview, do they come from the ATP or just random? Is there any good way to study for this other than the study guide?
Do a lot of guys fail out after the 30 days of home study?
Thanks to everyone who has responded.

2. MSP
3. There were, then they weren't, now it's been approved again. Don't know when it will begin though, but if you're hired you're entitled to it eventually.
4. No, the questions are made up from their own bank. No way to really study, just go over everything you've ever learned, plus some. Use the books they recommend, and also 'Everything Explained for the Professional Pilot' is an excellent resource.
5. If you're hired, they do pretty well at making sure you make it to the line. I don't know of anyone personally who has washed out once they begin training.
Good luck!

John Wayne Airport, Orange County
Calgary, Hawaii flights cut back at JWA - Orange County Register
The good news is the airport will get a second commuter airline early next year if Compass Airlines signs a contract with the county and passes noise tests on its jets. But don't look for Compass; it will operate as the commuter arm of Delta Air Lines and will have aircraft painted in that carrier's livery.
Jenny Wedge, spokeswoman for the airport, said Compass will not fly to any new destinations

Anyone heard if there will be any more SLC flying in addition to this?

What have you guys used for the cognitive prep? I have been using lumosity and was looking for any other programs out there.
Sure, you can't really study for this portion, but why not get the juices flowing.

Also, always use the practice round(s) to the full advantage.
