I guess there may be a possibility that he came up with this while sitting on his couch at home and decided to tell it to me and it's just a rumor.

I'm also confused about what additional information you need...
Wait...so let me get this straight...

TSA pilots can or can not get hired at Compass?

I'm so confused.

Just jacking with you.

Oh I'm sorry. Last I checked, you were furloughed TSA, and now you're coming on here, regurgitating what you heard from the Compass CP. However, you're coming on here telling us that he told you that Compass can not hire from TSA whatsoever. I was asking you why.

I forgot, this is APC. You can spit out whatever rumor bull you want, without anything to back it up. I asked you why the Compass CP would tell you that, but you "had to be more clear" about exactly what he said, which was just repeating the same thing.

BTW, I just heard straight from a Line Captain.

The 12 Compass airplanes will be flown by GoJets pilots that were hired via Jets for Jobs from United.

Walk in and see the CP Drew, he's always had an open door policy.

Those "punks" are forty something years old and older who were "waiting their turn" at the awesome TSA and were the first to jump ship to get a jump in seniority when GoJet was started. Research is an amzing tool. TSA should have voted "yes" to secure the flying and now they are paying the price. Hulas plays them like a finely tuned fiddle. But, this is a thread drift. This is about the third airline that Hulas now owns...Compass. I feel sorry for you guys over there. Good luck.

C'mon man, fill in the blanks...here goes.

I work at Compass Airlines. The base CP is one of my bosses. I talked to my boss, who told me this information.

Now, why would Hulas hire guys he's already trained (twice in most cases)?

I'm just trying my best to give good information to guys who want to be hired. My resource is the darn CP. Do I have to video every conversation I have and have a notary public verify the authenticity of my electronic signature? Jeez, I figured info coming from the source was good enough. Whatever.

If someone where to get hired on in the next few months where would they likely be based? Any rumors of new bases? Also, how long does this current wave of hiring figure to last? Thanks yaaaaal

Likely DTW based. No rumors on any new bases. Last I herd the new planes would be split evenly between DTW and MSP. My guess is hiring will continue at least until December, likely well into 2012.

Management is very good at shooting down both true and false rumors with lies. Most things seem to sneak up on us (e.g. closing domicile, being sold, new airplanes, ALPA being sued, you get the idea).

Yup, DTW is the most junior base, but in my new hire class, half of us wanted DTW, the other half MSP, so they said it looks pretty likely we'll get what we want. Granted, the training dept. is trying to get 30-ish new hires through the pipeline just for the month of March due to attrition & new planes. April will likely be at the same pace, since the new aircraft start coming on line May 1, and 20 CA's are leaving for DL next month. This doesn't even include attrition to other airlines and possible future flows to DL. Hiring should be consistent through April 2012, even if attrition comes to a standstill...at least that's what the training dept. is projecting. So if you want in, and you have ATP min's, get your stuff in now

Management has to be good at shooting down rumors, they're on a non-disclosure agreement. The CP's at Compass are good people, they really are here for the pilots...at least that's what I gather from the few times I've talked with them. I'm sure it's not easy for them to withhold good or bad news from their pilot group.
