The FAA put a stop to that, so we will all be SIC Typed and will be provided a PIC Type in the event of an upgrade.

I had orientation on the 10th, and while it is in the contract, the FAA won't approve any more.
I'm well aware of what's going on

As far as I've heard everyone who did not get a PIC type will have that fixed in one of their upcoming sim events. In all honesty how long that will take I don't know. Compass just got a new FAA POI and is working to resume PIC types for FO's from everything I've heard and I was just at sim land for recurrent. All in all there will be movement at Compass. 12 new airplanes means about 120 new hires. If Delta hires in the this fall more will be leaving from the top of the list too. True there's no flow for new hires, but neither is there anywhere else, at least not flow that actually happens this decade. Bottom line, a 2 year upgrade is a real possibility at Compass and I know they're looking to fill classes.

Does someone have access to a list of overnights and destinations for Compass out of MSP?

Out of curiosity, what's wrong with PIC typing everyone (in the FAA's eyes)? This seems like it should be at the company's discretion...

The FAA had a problem with Compass changing their training program without it getting approved by them.

Not necessarily. Apparently, under the former POI, the company was under the assumption that you could train everyone as CAs, do a little sim time in the right seat, and go out on the line and be an FO (as I did). The thought process was that if you are a CA, you should know the FO stuff as well; that the aircraft is not seat specific, but rating-specific.

However, when the new POI came on board, the company was told that the training must be seat specific; i.e. if you aren't going to be a CA on the line right away, you must train in the right seat, thus no PIC-type.

Pretty messy, I know. To make matters worse, all FO checkrides must be done with a line qualified CA in the left seat, so us MSP CA reserves get called in frequently for the beloved "non-jeopardy jeopardy" checkrides.

Default Quick question:

Quick question for those in the know:

Wikipedia says Compass flies E175
Flightaware labels all Compass flights as E170
Airfleets.net says it's a mix of E175LR, SR, IGW

I am leaning toward believing Airfleets. Can someone please confirm that they have 36 E175 airplanes.

I am also under the impression that on March 1st they announced adding 12 E170 in the near future. So it will soon be 36 E175, and 12 E170. Am I about right?

I assume the new hires will fly the E170.
Thank you for your help.
