Compass updates

They assign your RSV availability period the day prior at noon. Sometimes it was noon, other times I didn't hear anything from them until 2 or 3. Only had to go up the night before once every other month or so. They take your preferences into account, and 8 times out of 10 will give you a commutable period (depending on where you are). West coast is all but impossible as the periods start at 0400,0800,1100 and 1400. They don't give out many of the 1400 start times.
Last day is an auto release at 1800, but I was able to get out early every time. One time as early as 1030, once at late as 1700 (I was one of two available that day so that hung on later than usual). As always, everyone's experience is a little different. Good luck!

To the other guys that stinks you didn't make it. I guess as long as there is a line outside the door they will be picky for whatever reason. I guess if i had a company i would be as picky as the hiring allowed..not sure what some of those test prove as far as your piloting skills but some psychologist somewhere probably does..or thinks they do

Are they still interviewing?
Here's my situation -- I've been out of the industry since 2009 due to a devastating divorce I was going through, but now that things have been settled for a while I want to come back and resume my career. Was flying the 170/175 at Republic, and also flew for Trans States a few years back on the 145.
I have roughly 1900 hours TT and over 900 multi, 800 being in the various Jungle Jets, but haven't flown in 2 years. However I hadn't flown for a while before going to Republic but had no problem whatsoever completing the training.
Would Compass consider me for an interview? Being a Metro Detroit native I'd especially love the chance to fly for them. I will have all my currency taken care of before going to the interview of course.
The one thing I *don't* have is a 4-year degree. I only have a 2-year degree. Is that a deal-breaker for Compass?
Thanks guys!

According to APC:
"Flow up to Delta will be offered to all Compass pilots through a date of hire of 08/19/2010 (409 pilots); No Compass pilots hired later will flow up."

Hmm... is there someone I can email my resume and cover letter to? Or do you strictly fill out the online application?
Was tempted to call Jami and ask her directly but don't want to intrude...

I actually called the number listed for her earlier in the thread and I got a "call cannot be completed as dialed" operator message. Tried more than once.
Do you by chance know if her number changed? I was just hoping to send in a resume and cover letter since the online application is so impersonal.
