Pay = sucks
QOL = sucks
upgrade movement = none

...but yeah, the E175 is a nice ride for what it's worth...

Ha ha that's about it!

FWIW the 3/09 award had 3 CA vacancies (all MSP) and 9 FO's, bringing our "properly staffed" 312 head count to a woppingly massive insane 324 pilots...

HOLYSH|T now we'll get TWO days in between JM calls instead of ONE!!!

...and you used to be one of the more positive guys on here! I guess management can only beat a pilot group up for so long without turning them sour.... and redtail management has historically been, um, "best in class" at that.

Yeah I like how their quasi-aggressive response to rampant junior manning was going to be 6 upgrades...and then they cut THAT in half due to a reduction of *25 hours!* What's the definition of insanity, again?

Was just in Puerto Vallarta for a few days and really enjoyed letting multiple calls from crew sked go to voicemail. They didn't even bother leaving a message. I considered picking up at some point just to hear the dissapointment in their voices when I told them where I was and how inebriated I was, but I wouldn't have put it past them to positive space me back in 12 hours!

Hey don't get me wrong, this place is still MUCH better than my old gig, and I consider myself EXTREMELY fortunate and blessed to be in the position I'm currently in!!! Especially seeing how others are on the street with nowhere to go.

That just doesn't change the fact that 324!=360

Does this new award mean they'll start emptying the pool and running more new hire classes?

I don't think so. I think the award is to place the 12 that were recently hired.

I doubt it. We are so short staffed right now, but apparently that is what the company wants. They used PBS to "solve" our short staffing issues; problem is now most people have 12 days off. With any luck and a miracle they'll hire a few more classes by end of summer but don't hold your breath.

It is a great place to work and it is far better than my last airline, but in an email two weeks ago they claimed "our staffing model is is too complex to explain so just trust our judgement"... pretty ridiculous if you ask me.

I just talked to someone who said they had a interview coming up in the next few weeks. Anyone else hear about Compass interviewing again?

They are probably interviewing to fill the pool. No new news of hiring just yet, though we need it.

We supposedly just had a bunch of people just get recalled to air tran plus a couple to jet blue. All junior. They will probably need to hire for that. Heard 1 probationary person fired for too many missed flight assignments.
