You stated earlier that you have friends at Delta and that you are qualified to go there but that they are not hiring. If you take the position at Compass you may not be able to be hired at Delta until after you have your 30 months and are a Captain at Compass. I have not seen it written but I have been told by a number of CA's that they did not get interviews at NWA when they were hiring last year because they were at Compass and therfore disqualified for interviews. You may want to bring this up during the open question time at the interview. Just some food for thought. Good luck at the inerview. Compass seems like a great place to work right now.

Good point maxjet- appreciate the words. Not real sure how to handle that one except to work "like the most important job is the one you are currently doing (or potentially doing)." To me, not taking the job because of that potential future problem wouldn't be smart in these times. Appreciate the help though- I haven't heard anything negative about Compass. I am most concerned about people's attitudes and work environment and it sounds good- 130flier

Most everyone is hired based on attitude in the interview. Havn't met a person here yet I didn't like flying with. Everyone seems to get along.

sorry about the hazy post before...Yes they are pretty much only hiring the "pick of the litter" now. prior 121 guys yes of course. But what I meant was you now need the 1000 multi to get hired. HR might call you in to the interview with less, but the folks interviewing you will be like--*** wadddya mean you dont have 1000 multi!!? They are interviewing guys that were left seat @ ATA and other places with 10K hrs+
Hopefully that clears up my last post, I read it and I wondered *** I said too..

NO I did'nt get hired....
LOL

Mine took about a month. Don't know if the process has changed or not.

Yeah, find the 50 most obscure and weird questions from the ATP book and those will be the ones. At least when I took it that's how it felt. I was convinced when I walked out I got about 4 of them right, but I still got hired, so don't sweat it.

Make sure you know when you do or do not need a certain class of medical to take a checkride in a sim!

I'm pretty sure the written test is just something to do while others are in different parts of the interview.
