Actually, most of the people that I've worked with who had this and other sorts of social dysfunctions couldn't hack flight instructing for anywhere near as long as I've been doing it and went to the first airline that would snap them up.

From what I hear, they're fitting in quite well.

Why don't you fly for one of those airlines then?

Where are you CFIing right now?

When I interviewed I was the only non 121 guy (I'm Corporate and 135, 7000hrs, 4000ME).

Thought I did reasonably well (even in the 727 sim) but got the thanks but no thanks letter. Still think its a great company and will try again in 6 months (if they are still hiring).

Pretty sure most of the 121 guys got the offer.

Where would you want to be at these tough times, I can't think of anywhere that's doing great. You could name some airlines, but the sad reality is if you're starting at the bottom anywhere right now it's a crap shoot!

Thanks for the well wishes though!

At my Orientation there were 6 ATA pilots, 1 Skybus, 1 Skywest, 1 Navy, and me (Air Force). Ages started at 30 and went all the way to 55. How's that for varied?

The exercise gear is only need if you need to do a stress test due to questionable EKG results...I was curious about that when i did mine and thats what the doctors there told me..

2 hour callout..

Most guys keep there other jobs so they could keep both income. You dont get much for the home study so it better to keep your old job until the home study is done.

Appearantly they use a 727 sim.
Good ol' steam gauges?
I have not used that scan in a while :-/
Is a lot of emphasis placed on the 727 sim scan if you have almost all your hours on an all glass panel?!
