Compass is gonna get hosed once the flowbacks start. Just watch.
Delta and NWA merging will creat the big D. The big D will have plenty of furloughs, who will be flowbacks into Compass.
Someone said the top 10% of the Compass seniority list is protected, but the other 90% are screwed. Yet another person said 100% are subject to getting hosed by flowbacks.
Good luck Compass folks. I wouldn't want to be at Compass in these tough times.

It almost sounds like you want this to happen. That's sick.
I hope I don't get furloughed, but I've saved money and put myself in a good spot in case it happens. So I go fly a C310 on freight, or tend bar for a while.. I've done those things before, and I didn't mind it! Good luck to everyone!

Most are previous 121. My whole class was, I think the one after us had a 135 guy. Haven't heard of anyone straight from instructing (probably because of the time/ATP requirements), but there might be a few.

So far everyone I have met in training has a 121 background. The classes have a wide range of experience levels. There is everything from 1 year regional FOs to 20 year ATA captains. If you meet the mins your best bet is to apply and see what happens. I heard that last week there was suppose to be a class of 8, only 1 person showed up.

Job Requirements:
Compass pilots must have a minimum of 1500 hours of total flight time with 1000 hours of multi-engine time. Applicants must possess a Federal Communication Commission restricted Radio Telephone Operator permit. A Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Multi-engine (ME) Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate is preferred. Applicants must have a valid first class medical certificate obtained within the six months prior to application. Minimum education requirement is a high school diploma or equivalent, but a college degree is preferred. Applicants must have a valid passport. Applicants must be 23 years of age or older and legally authorized to work in the U.S.
If they overlook your 750ME and call you for an interview, you'll interview next to ex ATA, Champion, SunCountry captains with 15,000 total time.
Having said that, good luck, it seems like a great place to work.
