And those will disproportionately be senior guys since the junior guys will be reluctant to voluntarily leave during your probation period and He||, at Compass after one year you ARE a senior guy.

Ought to be awesome movement if the company gets additional flying enough to survive.

Pretty sure you can get authorization to do a short course for typed folks from other airlines. OK for an established company if you're just going to airdrop a handful of folks into the mix.

But I seriously doubt they'd give that authorization to a startup, would want to go conservative/full monty on that.

You got me. I fell victim to the trolling.
I couldn't resist all the 'big fella' stuff. Carry on.

Side note:
My favorite quote from today’s call is “we could afford to lose some pilots”
My favorite quote from today in general is “poop in anyone’s soup.”

If it's a new certificate, sure.

If it's "Moxy Airways Operated by Compass Airlines", it'd be no different than getting planes from any other mainline carrier.

Neeleman could use us to fly 190s for a year or two to test out potential markets, then offer us preferential interviews to Moxy Mainline when they get the A220s.

May the rumor mill ever churn.

“Sunny,” and now “Orange.” I see two scenarios, both of which are hilarious. 1. This is the company’s sneaky way of telling us who the new opportunity is. 2. More likely, someone in Minny is trying to mess with the pilots, and I love it.

For the rumor part...Sun Country has been wanting to expand westward. If they were to buy us, perhaps a forced SLI is how they force a new base.

Edit: CP plans to keep the Minny base. Ergo, CONFIRMED!!

Buttttt what’s the point of interviewing us and throwing out CJOs? And if we somehow ended up as a regional for Sunny- how depressing.

Didn’t we have a “yellow” code recently too?

I’m calling it:

Let the record show this is all made up by me and has no fact and wasn’t even dreamed up by anyone in MSP. This is satire.

Again I’m not a spokesman for the company in any way just a bored line pilot and I alone typed this up: Many of you have been waiting for more information about the opportunity that we are pursuing with a new partner. Despite our best efforts to streamline this process, we have encountered significant delays as we work out the details of the agreement. Although we are still hopeful of securing this new opportunity, unfortunately it will come to fruition later than we have originally planned.
This is satire
This leaves us forecasting an overstaffed situation for the winter and spring months as we take time to adjust to a changing fleet size. As such, effective next week, we will be temporarily suspending new hire classes for our crews. In addition, we will be temporarily pausing upgrade classes. These decisions were made after much consideration, and we hope to resume these classes as soon as it is financially responsible to do so.
This is satire
Additionally, we would like to offer our flight and cabin crews the opportunity to take unpaid leave for the months of January through March. A document in Comply will soon be released detailing the conditions of this process.
This is satire
Let the record show that we are NOT in a furlough condition and we hope to avoid this state. We have never furloughed in the past and we do not anticipate it to become necessary, provided our continued negotiations are successful.
This is satire
In the mean time we thank you all for your patience. As always, good things take time, and we are confident that there is an exciting opportunity for us ahead.
This is satire

Let the record show I’m not trying to make a statement or poke fun at anything. Just throwing another rumor into the mill.

There are only two people in building C who know what the new opportunity is: RT and MW. Outside of building C there are two more people in TSH who know: HK and RL. Anyone else who says anything has no clue.
