Losing Delta and New Opportunities

Not sure when your class date is. They mentioned maybe 4 next month and 6 after that? Or was it 4 this month and 6 next month? I can't remember. They claimed they are waiting to hear what numbers we need for 2020 before giving out more information.

They are continuing upgrades, new hire classes, and LCA interviews but history tells us that doesn't mean anything so.. Who knows.

We didn't get any real update about the "new opportunity." nor did we get a timeline.. Nor did they give a straightforward answer about furloughs or mdisplacements. Whether they are stringing us along or just don't have that info at the moment is up to each one of us to decide for ourselves.. They are still saying we should stick it out and see what they have for us.

Sao Jose dos Campos — David Neeleman, founder of JetBlue Airways and Azul Linhas Aéreas, said Thursday he wants to get a jump on his next venture — codenamed Moxy — by setting up a U.S. carrier with airplanes retired from the Brazilian airline.
Starting next year, Neeleman wants a separate Air Operator Certificate for a U.S. airline, united under the start-up’s umbrella. As Azul takes deliveries of Embraer E195-E2s, the airline expects to rotate the older first generation E-Jets out of the fleet. Under Neeleman’s notional plan, about 30 aircraft would shift to the U.S. for a combination of scheduled and charter operations.
Moxy is expected to receive its first A220-300s from Airbus starting in 2021.
