What is NOT going to happen is management coming out and saying that there is no deal in place. The only two options are...
1) We have a deal, [insert details here].
2) A deal is coming.
To prevent the mass exodus, #2 is going to be touted indefinitely or until the ship is about to sink. Compass still has to keep flying the AA birds in the meantime... and even then, at what point does the company quit turning a profit? With or without furloughs, that’s gonna be a SUPER lean profit margin - at best - with just 20 aircraft.

I’m guessing that was a preemptive “We won’t have anything before the end of August” - memo. Bummer to see. It doesn’t seem they are trying too hard to communicate their intentions of everyone staying.
I guess I’m filling out more apps this trip. Stuck on what to do with 800 121 and not wanting a regional DEC commute to reserve.

Stick and carrot
I’ve seen it at almost every carrier I’ve ever worked at. JetSuite pulled the same thing to try to stop the damage from people leaving. Their surprise? “We’re pulling old jets from the desert and starting a regional!”

Horizon will also take you too, and even let you upgrade reasonably quickly - if you’ll upgrade in the Q.

Well OO will take you in a heartbeat, and even give you credit for pay purposes for your years of 121 time. The catch is that you’ll be another two years making Captain, but that’s for ORD or DTW in the CRJ. ERJ is even longer - in LGA.
