Some mainline pilots just don't get it. Couple guys at my CP never stop *****ing about Alaska. "Worst airline in the world... The trips suck... I have to go to Fort Lauderdale, hate going there." Cool story bro. Meanwhile I'm sitting there with my 3 week old beard that I refuse to shave until I fly again.

Yup. We couldn’t tell if the jumpseater was being serious or making a joke but after a few minutes of rambling it was apparent they were entirely serious.

This. I turned in my 2 weeks. Had 4 day of RSV, 2 days off, 4 days of RSV. Got a 4 day both times. My last 4 days of RSV in SEA, day one get called for a 4 day. Couldn’t believe it. YVR-SEA was my last flight...after a reroute of course. And I really enjoyed flying with that FO too. We were both sad I didn’t get to finish together. Some good times.

I really truly do hope that things work out for you guys. Any of the CZ guys I've had in my jump or talked to on the bus to the hotel have been great, and your memes are epic.
That all said, reading through the wishful thinking of this thread reminds me of a battered wife who thinks her husband really is sorry this time, and the roses he brought home the day after blackening both of her eyes in a drunken rage makes up for all the pain and lies.
Meanwhile over on the Deltazz or United threads they're complaining cause their supermodel sugar momma occasionally passes gas during dinner and makes em drive a Miata as a track day car instead of a Porsche.
Jump on this opportunity that is presenting itself and move from the wife that just takes and complains about how you're never home and how little you make , and move along to that supermodel, or maybe the plus size Sports Illustrated model if the supermodel isn't your type.

Great point.
Look up the sunken cost falacy. People may struggle to leave behind something they had to invest time and resources into.
