Envoy is wholly owned by AAG, so Envoy would not buy Compass. It would have to be AAG do the buying. AAG already own those aircraft and a certificate to fly them (Envoy). They decide who can fly them (and where) so there would be no reason to purchase Compass.

Doesn't mean it would cost a whole lot to purchase Compass. CP was only sold to TSH in the first place for $20 million. What's its value now that it lost the Delta flying (nearly 2/3 of the flying) and has a looming AA contract ending in the next couple years? Probably not a whole lot. That would all just mean you have a ready pilot group vs having to put a ton of people through initial.

It's hard for me to imagine that scenario described, and I don't think this will happen, but just saying that it probably wouldn't be too difficult - until you get to the merging seniority lists thing if it comes to that.

The SLI is costly and nothing good ever comes out of those. You might see incentive programs, like transferred seniority for pay and vacation (but start from the bottom otherwise) for CPZ guys. I think SkyWest already offers this? I wouldn't be surprised if others come up with similar programs early next year.

You mean 18 months? CPA is "technically" up in Summer of 2021.

So, with Deltas August announcement... this theory suggests the announcement will come of late 2020 winter for the AA draw down?

It isn’t 20 jets thru summer 2021, it’s just contracts thru 2021, right? Or until we’re all furloughed.

Who knows. All that I know is the current contract is up in Summer of 2021. I don't have any other information beyond that. As we all saw from our DL contract expiring Summer of 20', the draw down started months prior so that all the aircraft are off property at the expiration.

Compass pilots say the contract is up "xxxx". Envoy pilots say the contract is up "xxxx". The truth is that Joe Line Pilot doesn't know when the AA Compass contract is up. If anyone would like to post a hard source that isn't hearsay...then by all means. But the details of such aren't publicly published.

Idk if I’d say “Joe Line Pilot”, as much as “Joe Reserve Pilot”. Almost half of us are on RSV by now it seems

It's gotta be in the SEC stuff, should be able to google that.
