Am I the only one tired of seeing them already?

American does more flying out of LAX then any other airline, used to have a base in LAX with American Eagle, already has an operation through Compass doing flying in LAX, are getting more E175...

Im really reaching but at this point who isn’t!

Envoy is contractually guaranteed all new AA 175 flying until they get up to 130 planes. They have around 90 now. After that, it is legally possible.

But we were never meant to operate for American, as it was a whipsaw move against Envoy to get them to ratify a concessionary contract.

Also, for those still on the Moxy train, remember that the initial group of JetBlue pilots did not even get guaranteed employment. They got individual employment contracts for five years. Renewal was not automatic.

Unlike the Delta flying we are losing, the AA contract we have apparently doesn’t prohibit that.

So OK, I guess I’ll just ask you why if you didn’t understand what I posted rather than simply admitting your ignorance in not understanding the punchline and asking clarification you felt compelled to get abusive, obnoxious, and in-your-face about my posting:

Dude.

I know absolutely nothing about this Moxy airline startup. Can you elaborate on your theory and connect the dots between Compass and this startup airline. I understand that this airline will fly the same type that Compass flies. But how does that help Compass pilots? Is the theory that this airline buys Compass?

I’m not saying we’ll get more American flying but be acquired by Envoy to start west coast flying for American/Envoy.

Envoy is wholly owned by AAG, so Envoy would not buy Compass. It would have to be AAG do the buying. AAG already own those aircraft and a certificate to fly them (Envoy). They decide who can fly them (and where) so there would be no reason to purchase Compass.

Doesn't mean it would cost a whole lot to purchase Compass. CP was only sold to TSH in the first place for $20 million. What's its value now that it lost the Delta flying (nearly 2/3 of the flying) and has a looming AA contract ending in the next couple years? Probably not a whole lot. That would all just mean you have a ready pilot group vs having to put a ton of people through initial.

It's hard for me to imagine that scenario described, and I don't think this will happen, but just saying that it probably wouldn't be too difficult - until you get to the merging seniority lists thing if it comes to that.

The SLI is costly and nothing good ever comes out of those. You might see incentive programs, like transferred seniority for pay and vacation (but start from the bottom otherwise) for CPZ guys. I think SkyWest already offers this? I wouldn't be surprised if others come up with similar programs early next year.

You mean 18 months? CPA is "technically" up in Summer of 2021.
