Really dude? Get over it. I hope you are either a) joking or b) expecting to be paid JetBlue rates because anything else would be detrimental to the industry.

Nothing joking about it. And Jet Blue didn’t get JetBlue rates on their first contract either. Startups are like that. They are usually paid somewhat less than the competition but make it up in ESOP.

But seriously, any new start is going to be more competition for established airlines. And less well paid too. Look what Frontier was paying their people before their last contract, or Spirit when they first started.

Uh, B6 just got their first contract last year...

I get the idea that he is new to the industry with a serious case of SJS.

I’ll rephrase that. JB didn’t get a competitive contract immediately either. Nor did Spirit. Nor did Frontier. Nor pretty much anyone else.

Nope. Got that out of my system over a decade ago.

Ok then I guess I’ll just ask why are you comparing compass to LCCs? Compass should be flying regional jets for competitive rates, not mainline aircraft for regional rates.

Read up on the Moxy (Breeze) Theory many of us ascribe to. It is the brainchild of the guy who created JB, and as such may fall along a similar trajectory.

The theory/hope that has repeatedly been voiced in this thread since Neeleman announced he would consider starting his new Moxy/Breeze startup with surplus Emb-190 aircraft as Azul replaces them with E-2 aircraft next year until the scheduled A220 aircraft arrive, and since Compass already issues type certificates for the Embraer 170/190, and since we seem to have a surplus of Emb 170/190 qualified pilots right now was that Compass pilots might be candidates for that flying and become the cadre for the new startup. Unlike the Delta flying we are losing, the AA contract we have apparently doesn’t prohibit that.

So OK, I guess I’ll just ask you why if you didn’t understand what I posted rather than simply admitting your ignorance in not understanding the punchline and asking clarification you felt compelled to get abusive, obnoxious, and in-your-face about my posting:
