The retirement of them has been delayed. Nobody really knows how long. Some speculate the delay is to keep the capacity till the 737max returns. But as of now, none are leaving the fleet as was previously planned/announced.

Long time reader first time poster. Always enjoy hearing what maybe next for our small little airline. And the memes... honestly that alone makes this the greatest pilot group out there
Does anyone have any insight/rumors on what American is doing with the E190s they’re getting rid of? 6 going away by the end of 2019 with the whole fleet of 20 gone by August of next year, but where are they going?

They have been extended and will be sent for heavy maintenance which was coming up and was the whole reason for them to be removed, so likely they will be around a lot longer than planned. The MAX forced that issue predominantly.

We would have killed for that back in 10-15! You guys don’t want them anyway, Repug did a real nice job taking care of them. CDLs up the ace for being bent, none of them fly straight. And the cockpits... Easy to tell which ones came back in about .5 seconds.
But, if it keeps y’all going please get them. We gladly would lose them for everyone there.
