Personally I still think it’s something else. RT has stated that RL is a “always have a plan B C D E” kinda guy. I also think that RL is coming up with something innovative and something the regional players haven’t done yet.

Agree with your first paragraph.

Your second paragraph and praise of RT and RL is hilarious and scary at the same time. Compass won't prosper until both of those men either have no stake in Compass or are on the unemployment line.

That and getting rid of TSH would be a nice relief.

Plot twist. Mesa signs new deal with UA and as a result gives up there 900’s, AA places them under CPZ and we get bought or at least somewhat controlled by AA.

There’s no validity to this I’m just bored.

Well done!

So, correct me if I’m wrong...

Mesa BOUGHT these 20 new 175s themselves they were not awarded by United. The United birds are still not spoken for.

Nah, sadly, you're wrong, the owner doesn't matter under the scope clause, and on top of that, the Mesa letter mentions the renewal of the UA owned 175s. The Mesa owned 700s will be leased to another carrier.
UA is out of play unless there's other jets being moved around that we don't know about.

I know there was a deal...just not sure if there still is if it fell through because CPZ was trying to figure out how to get out of the AA debacle since UA required CPZ to only fly for them...who knows if United got impatient and bailed...maybe you guys will fly the 50 - 321XLR's on 9 hour flights across the Atlantic they just bought...

Compass should consider flying E145s. ExpressJet has 20 parked and United needs this airplane more than the 175 until scope is relaxed.

Who knows, maybe that's where we are headed. I have a hard time believing AA is behind all this, based on every said and communicated in writing it's a new partner to us, and all the signs pointed to UA. But maybe that means becoming an operator of 145's.

There's plenty of other regionals to go to that operate 145s or CRJs. Why stay with CPZ and commute to a new base to fly them when you can go to another regional where you can fly them, still have to commute, but at least get a fat bonus and maybe better hourly pay?

And silence from Building C, wondering if they're trying to figure out how to spin this without giving away the fact they lost their contract and keep everyone from leaving while they have obligations to Delta and AA still.

This. The Silence is deafening. They're just stringing everyone along until most of the Delta operation is done.
