The Envoy guys have been telling Mesa folk that they were going to take back the DFW flying since we moved in.

As a former TSH pilot, I hope you guys get some good news down the road, even though we all know how uncle Hulas is. CP crews have always been professional and pretty down the earth. Hope you guys get your resumes updated and calls start coming in from the bigger carriers. Keep your heads up and good luck moving forward!

Chief pilots seem pretty confident and excited for something. Hoping for the best.

There's still a lot of new hire classes in the upcoming months, so hopefully that is for a new opportunity, whatever that may be.

The faster you get to where you want to be, the better off you will be when the slow down comes. I would also look on going overseas, 5 years overseas, you'll be making legacy money, and now you have the experience.

Good luck to all.
I disagree, typically when something like this happens, the majors tend to suck up these pilots. Look at Expressjet (ASA), there were a ton of guys/gals that got picked up by Delta in the 6-12 months after it was announced their DL flying was going away. Between August 2017 - and Summer 2018. I bet they had 20-30 Expressjet/ASA people in class a month at DL. I have a feeling Delta will do the same. It's the number one major airline as far as number of pilots leaving, to go to Delta. I bet you if anything DL will hire a bunch of CPZ people in the next 6-12 months...especially when hiring ramps up. I believe in the PWA at DL it says DL has to hire 30-40% of New Hires must come from ALPA carriers, and that excludes any EDV folk in an guaranteed interview process.

Preferential ALPA hiring. Don't worry about some lateral or downward move to non union Skywest. If your nose is clean and furloughed in this economy you'll be at a ALPA legacy before you can blink.

Remember how many Compass pilots are at Delta and now on the hiring board. They are watching the situation closely.

Or if you’re only a year or so in, come to SkyWest and help the ALPA yes vote numbers. I know most would not do that and I don’t blame you but make no mistake that the drive is real and gaining steam.

Sounds too good to be true. I'd apply to a lot of places, if you have some PIC can probably pass on a lateral move until you really need it since class dates can be had fairly quickly.

Standing by for AA to whipsaw the excessive pilot market in LAX to their benefit.

Wishing the CMPZ brethren the best.

Former compass here. Good luck everyone. I think you'll all be okay. This is still a good time in the industry with lots of hiring and movement. It will definitely be painful shrinking so much and having flying shifted around, but I think you'll all end up in a better place.

Just try to avoid going to Skywest (I understand if you have to), I just can't stand their pretentious attitude on here and everywhere else.

I gotta say... I’m super sorry for the compass folks on here and truly hope the best for everyone.

However, I haven’t read any OO koolaid. In fact, it seems like your thread has more “pretentious” attitudes from other airlines. If you all did come to OO you would be welcomed with open arms but I sincerely hope you all get legacy/LLC/ or get additional flying for your lifers.

Your OO hate is lame and adds nothing to the thread and creates angst among the pilot groups.

Good luck everyone, seriously.
