Jesus-H-Christmas, I never knew we had so many Yeager's here at the mighty CP! Many of you are most certainly ready for delta.

When guys ask for flaps full numbers in SNA..

Oh, so you want to use an unfamiliar flap setting that will guarantee you float past your point because of the wonky deck angle, then slam it on like you’re trying to catch the third wire at the very end of the TDZ? Definitely better than putting it down smooth and right on the markers with flaps 5. Those 4 extra knots slower on Vap are definitely worth it

That, and slapping the boards out/stowed. You can take 2 extra seconds and not freak out every passenger on the plane. Flying 101, those 78 people in the back are more important than that cool feeling you get when you nonchalantly slap that lever

Every situation is different and I don’t know the whole story here but you leave a major (DL) (where you will make millions) and could have been based in MSP if hired before February 2018 (according to last vacancy at DL) to go back to a regional where job security beyond 2020 is not guaranteed, to be a SLIP in MSP and will potentially make less money ...again I don’t know the situation but it’s certainly a head scratcher looking at it on paper.

BLS, you asked for it! Get ready to hear “Vertical Track Alert!” Every time I hear the VNAV chime

Hope to see you in LAX this fall!

You’re a professional pilot so you should be able to land with any normal flap setting on the airplane which includes full, and if you can’t maybe that’s a good reason to practice more flaps full landings as mine are not only right on the 1000 footers but so buttery smooth it’s like a thousand angels kissing the ground... (okay that’s maybe not accurate but I’m not going to tell you which part). If you land there with flaps 5 when it’s wet with standing water and stall protect ice speeds, I can guarantee if something happens when you’ll have all the lawyers asking why you didn’t land full. I’ve done it with full under those conditions and it was an eye opener... you’re grateful for that extra 300 ft margin. Sure, it’s overkill for dry, but why not? It’s the only place I get to do it, it’s something different to break up the monotony, and we’re using a good amount of caution on a short runway. It’s just good aeronautical decision making.

Agree 100% on the boards stop slapping the damn boards, nice and smooth pls!

Haha yes, now I'm triggered lol. CAs, my dudes (and dudettes) its called an APU fadec. Turn it on. Problem solved.

And dont you dare time a "warm up" clock on a 2 engine taxi. Do I look like I am anxiously waiting for a 2 minute notification from you??? Hey, I'm all for breaking SOPs, but where I draw the line is when we starting adding more work and call outs. Less work people! Quit breaking SOPs with your lame made up call outs!

"Disregard!!" On the VTA. Um, excuse me, did I look like I was 'regarding' it, as you say?

And here's a new one. When there are 50 people trying to talk to ground and you get a clear transmission in and they call someone else.. its because no one cares about you. We're never a priority. Dont get all frustrated and angerly try again and again.. sit back, grab some fig bars, and chill. We're gettin paid, it's all goood. Ground will only care about you when you're in the way (ie. Bravo gets backed up).

And that reminds me, if you're waiting to get in the alley, try helping out your fellow CP homie.. when ground asks about the status of the gate and there are 3 people trying to get out of the box: DONT say "we're not cleared in" .. SAY "we're waiting on one (or 3) to get out of the alley." ... so now ground can ask for who's ready at the box...

Also, please set my altimeters. Because I don't set it. I'm just gonna read whatever's there and say normal anyway.

Dude this is great. Also I’d add having the perf 3/3 up while pushing for the taxi check
