This is hilarious.
“I was in the military and it sucked more so your problems are invalid.”
The same argument could be made against you. You made the choice to go to the military so no one is going to feel bad for you for what hardships it’s brought you, and it certainly doesn’t make other people’s problems trivial.
This guy is eager to advance his career, screw him, right? Life has been harder for people born before him, so how dare he want faster progression and better QOL.
Guarantee you won’t see him complaining about how your probably had most of your training paid for by Unvle Sam

Ya what happened in here. Why has everyone become so vile recently. Remember when people were complimenting this forum for not having the same old bickering everywhere else did. Sad!

As far as my military flying hours, I'd be glad to give him my WSO hours but they would help him no more than they are helping me.
And we ALL want to advance, but whining about not making captain before you have 2500TT or 1500 ME?
Get a friggin grip.

That's not a street captain, technically. We had the same thing at 9E for a while. Most folks who went to CA quickly weren't actually hired as CA's, but they qualified for and were awarded CA at their first vacancy.

As in the dude was here for four years, left, came back as an FO, had the time requirements to hold the left seat, and was able to get it in a bid award.

I guess I should have been more clear. I am not in any way putting these guys down or saying they have done anything wrong. Just trying to clarify for others that might be reading this thread from the outside. So if a guy came in from another airline and had the upgrade requirements they could move to the left seat as soon as they finished NH training? upgrade is going that junior? there weren't any special exceptions made for these guys?

Hey ya'll, I'm trying to figure out what the sim instructor pay is per the CBA. So 15 per hr+ and a 5hr monthly override, is that right? Can anyone shed light on what is a typical month of credit time and how much opportunity there is to fly still? How bidding works? PM me if you would rather do that...
