As a cjo new hire I am doubling down optimistically planning on my class/start in a few months. Exploring options but none of those would hit until the new year / winter or have my existing pt135 gig. Being on the sidelines since 98 when I graduated with degree/ratings - I didnt go into aviation professionally as it was a terrible time to be a pilot. Just kept touch with aviation, flying privately, adding ratings and plane ownership. Now times are better than ever and no matter where we go it's still aviation and highly volatile. No panic just make the next best decision as information presents itself. Always have options no matter what career one is in.

Next thing you know they will be meaconing us.
Naw, just kidding. They do seem to be covering their bases, just like many of us are doing. My guess is there’s some arm wrestling going on right now over 60 United 175s. But that’s only a guess.
And who will WIN that arm wrestling, if it is occurring, is anyone’s guess.

The radio silence is annoying and like others have already stated, each day my hopes slowly decrease. That being said, new LCA hiring, still hiring FOs, and going to career fairs, still upgrading, and week was super excited about something. So I haven’t given up hope yet.
My personal deadline is September 1st. At the latest, the next employee call. Then the LCC/DEC apps go out. I don’t want to leave but if we don’t hear something in the next week or two, I think it’s safe to say this “new opportunity” is all smoke and mirrors.

If we lose delta and only keep American for another year or so, what's that gonna look like staffing wise?

I agree. No news by Sept 1 means I’m going anywhere else ASAP
Also edit: if we lose DL and only keep American, I don’t think we would continue. 2/3 of MSP would need to be laid off anyway

If we only had AA, I would be downgraded to an FO, and I’ve been here 4yrs...food for thought based off the most recent seniority list
