I am very curious the percentage of guys and gals that would stay if the new base is a 3+ hour flight commute away from LA. I think that an announcement like that would probably send many LA people for other airlines.
Remember there are a lot of us still here from the MSP days. I guarantee most of the MSP commuters as well as the east coast commuters will bid for a base say in IAH.

Well, fewer all the time, but yeah, IAH or IAD (just to pull a couple of potential bases out of a hat ) would likely be far easier for most east coasters and MSP guys/gals than any of the current bases, especially if you could do it on company metal. It’s actually the guys/gals losing their base at SEA that might be the issue.

Echo. It’ll be hard to stay without some really efficient trips and/or an excellent “opportunity,” unless SEA stays open, of course. I’m hopeful, I suppose, but not naive.

Overstaffed currently or projected once delta planes start transitioning? How soon will they start moving planes since still delta flying through June

My understanding being a new recruit is/was understaffed but that was before announcement.

The shift has already started. 4 planes pulled off line for sept to go thru mx so they can be sent to DL in oct. that’s the reason for less lines for next month

The perfect solution to this overstaffing is giving reserve guys 18 days off a month hint hint

Edit: see below

They need lots of reserves so they can pull their reserve days off and give them trips that go to Brazil to go pick up our new airplanes...
