Get your apps out there and start working on all the little steps to go to the next place, whether that's an LCC, OO, 9E, G7 or whatever. If whatever comes out looks good, you can always pull down your app or delay/cancel an interview or even a class date if you choose.
Honestly, even if you have an interview I'd do it regardless. Never hurts to have options or at least live interview practice.

If you could be so kind as to explain to me why they cant release the information on our future. Among all of the conflicting info out there right now, there's one tiny bit that suggests the deal is done and its TSH not wanting to release the news for whatever reason. If this deal was so great and is going to save compass as we know it, then why not release the info and stop the hemorrhaging like Billy Mays on a FlexSeal commercial. I feel like we are being treated like a bunch of children, and maybe its because I myself am a child and I just dont understand the process.
Either Compass and some other company are being played against each other and the issue is not entirely decided or Compass management is keeping the drama going
to distract us from the fact that the two year extension to the pilot contract is almost up.
Case one would have whatever major is involved letting Compass and whoever currently has the flying (Mesa would be my guess since they also have contracts expiring) undercut one another to the maximum extent possible and eventually go with the deal most advantageous to that major.
Case two would have Compass keep up the drama to the point where the pilot group will happily sign an extension of the current terms just to keep our jobs, not noticing in the prices that we are now lagging behind several other pilot groups.
Now I’m not psychic. I suppose it’s possible for some third option, like we split in two and those whose flying is being phased out leave Compass to become startup cadre for Moxy, but I doubt it.
In the meantime, getting apps out is still good practice. And who knows, you might get lucky and get a nibble from someplace you really would like to spend your life. And the signup bonuses - especially if you are DEC or Near-DEC eligible, are getting mighty tempting. And class dates for those can be chosen conveniently far out that you can always cancel out if TSH actually does strike gold somehow.
Two can play this whipsaw game.

Just remember, everyone is only asking for a couple more weeks of patience... how many YEARS has it taken us to get this far? With potentially decades of flying left ahead for us?
A couple weeks isn't asking much in the long game. Eyes on the prize, folks!

Besides, putting out apps is good practice. Everybody ought to be doing it anyway, as soon as you meet minimums for a career destination you’d REALLY like to have.

I’ll throw a theory into the mix for fun
UA wants to consolidate regionals. Mesa contract is ending very soon. Their contract is 30 175s and 20CRJ700s.
UA has 20 firm 175 orders to replace the CRJ700s, which will either disappear or become 550s. The 30 E175’s go to Expressjet, the carrier that UA wants to grow, especially on the 175 side. Expressjet can’t staff that.
ExpressJet (or whatever shell company) acquires compass.
As for our AA stuff, I have no idea. 2023

UA still has that provision in their FA contract giving any wholly owned regional FAs mainline wages so it’ll still have to go through their shell company, Mana, if any of those things were ever to happen. That’s why UAL doesn’t have any wholly owneds.
Oh, and Mesa operates 60 175s for UA, not 30.

This place is great but if we furlough/downgrade at all, or end up with reserves flying 8 hours a month and frozen hiring/upgrades (cough cough 2017), I’m gone too.
Alternative, happier theory:
We are getting 30 UA jets at 4 a month starting October, new bases, and stay Compass. UA just doesn’t want CPZ to let the cat out of the bag yet and cause panic at the regional that’s losing jets
