This was ENTIRELY PREDICTABLE. In fact, it was INEVITABLE after a 6-7 month hiring freeze unless you were going to hire DECs. With no newbies hired for 6-7 months and a lot of the newbies who did get hired coming in with limited ME time and only ATP (or even RATP) minimums, and the overwhelming majority of your attrition being either CA’s or senior FO’s, you eventually reach the point where damn few people are ELIGIBLE to upgrade, even if they have 1000 hrs of 121 time.

That time is now.

100% accurate.

At the end of the day our entire pilot group are the ones suffering from the whipsaw that was the hiring freeze...question is, for how long.

The flight attendants need their own company call. That was ridiculous

The best part of the whole call-

RT after answering 30 minutes of FA questions...

RT: "are there any pilots on the call.... ?"

....30 SECONDS OF SILENCE ......

FA: "just to follow up, I had a question about...."

So it's now required to start and review the wsi app in the cockpit before each flight. Why? No onboard data signal = *useless* "The most currently available weather data must be reviewed as part of the pre-flight planning process." Yet they don't give us a way to get that data on the app in the first place.
