There are a couple NLC guys down there. They were there prior to the SLIP issues. They are good instructors and know the airplane.

So I'm curious, what was that like? I'm sure they're excellent instructors and professionals but was it a little generic? I'm assuming you did 6 month.. Hard to discuss all the things we train for at 6 month with non-compass instructors.. Or maybe it made no difference (?)

Yeah that would be pretty crazy for the company to resort to FSI to handle the CQ workload. NLC would make more sense, maybe Week can clarify. Some of the NLCs are fantastic instructors...Others are a little... different.. That being said, nothing beats a guy or gal who actually flies the line, understands the specific issues we have as a pilot group, and the nuances of the airports we fly out of to be the one running the event.
Like someone said earlier--support our slips!
And like Jetdoc said, it stinks to high heaven what happen to our slips. It's like how the right seat CA thing went down.
Fly now... Grieve later.. Hopefully the union does a better job this time since whatever resolution comes about won't take place by a pilot group vote. But we have good guys working on it.

FWIW the guy never said specifically he was FSI, but he referred to compass as “your company” when talking to us and made a lot of references to Training Republic guys so who knows. Had him for upgrade maneuvers and LOFT

A few weeks ago CAE in MSP had an E-170 instructor job posted. Now that seems a little strange.

Off topic, but how does pay work during upgrade? I’ve been told you get the new rates on everything after LOE, after CELL, after IOE backdated to LOE, after LOE back dated to the award date...? Everyone is saying something different
