Default Commutair Rumors and Info.

Is Commutair still hiring, Or is all there classes full going into the new year Jan,Feb?

Classes are probably not full, although we'd like them to be. December has 4 people in it.

Good luck during the December class. I missed the required hours for that one, but will make the January 5th class. Anyone else in the January class?

Another upgrade class announced for February. I've been hearing maybe 6 people in the January new-hire class as well.

Sweet! At the current rate of attrition, hiring, and upgrading, a new hire would upgrade in at most 25 months.

Yeah and I think as hiring picks up next year at the majors we will have more captains leaving so upgrades will only increase. Wouldn't suprise me to see new hires upgrading in 18 months

We won't be able to continue upgrading if we can't get FOs. Currently less than 190 pilots here. I believe to be adequately staffed we need 220 to 230. It will be an interesting 2015.

New seniority list up?

This does concern me.

I could see a CQF scenario happening here, much like TSA.

The current seniority list is 199 pilots. We like 230 but that is with full lines of flying. We are currently only flying 15 lines while we get our mx back up to speed. We will begin ramping back up towards 19 or so likes of flying as next year progresses. We can cover current flying adequately with our current seniority list. Once we start adding more lines of flying....we'll see. Hopefully this rumored LOA they are working on will come to fruition and further improve pilot pay and QOL, thereby increasing recruiting.
