Can anyone explain why there's so many C5 flights canceled and with XJT taking them over? It says aicraft availability, but I'm curious of the full story.

No joke. Yesterday c5's D:0 was 18% with a a14 of 22%. Yikes.

Departures on time (D:0) and arrivals within 14 minutes (A:14).

Not much better for them today, only 40% of flights on time today for them. Not much more than 100 flights to be operated by them in a day, close to 30 cancelled, and they're dead last among UAX carriers for D:0, A:14, and controllable completion factor right now.

Any word on what is going on? Cancelling 30% of flights for the past week and into next week.

Not too sure where you guys are getting your info from. Month to date, our controllable completion is 92% and our D0 is 75%. Granted, those numbers should be higher, particularly the completion factor. I know we have 3 airplanes down for C-checks right now, which is high for us. 2 of the 3 are in RFD at our new provider for C-check contract maintenance. They are supposed to be pretty quick turning airplanes. The maintenance base closure in CLE put us behind getting that stuff done, not to mention all the experienced mechanics we lost in the process. I can only assume our maintenance will get back on track in the coming months. Time will tell.

There are 17 lines of flying and 4 aircraft down for heavy Mx. This leaves no spare airplanes. One should come out of C- check this week, or so we're told. Mx fell behind when CLE closed as a maintenance hub, and ALB as a mx hub doesn't work nearly as well as CLE did. There just is not enough time for mx in ALB. United knows they left us scrambling to find a new mx base and has been working with us to get back on track, as we are a dirt cheap operator for united.

For CommutAir, United shows 92% controllable completion MTD but D:0 shows them at 42% (not 75%). My airline, for us to get a performance bonus, you need at least a 99.5% controllable completion. Not saying its your fault and the MX stuff is no good but 92% controllable completion is pretty dismal. Hopefully things turn around.
