We run the gamut of 1-day trips to 5-day trips so your overnights will vary. Some trips are more efficient than others so you could do as little as 2 legs a day up to 5. I would say average of 4 though.

Duke, thank you for the good info.

Are most of the CAs that are leaving going to the majors?

Several to JetBlue and Spirit. One to Delta (waiting on a class) that I'm aware of...one to United still waiting on a class date from November 2013 (an Asst. Chief). One to Allegiant about two years ago. One to Virgin America about two years ago. Had a fellow head over to Omni recently. That might be it.

We've had about 7 or 8 go to US Airways the past couple of years, about 3 of them within the past 6 months. Our assistant chief started class last month at United, one guy just got on with Frontier, one guy went to Vision, one guy is in the background check process at Virgin. All together we've had at least 7 captains get hired this year.

Wow that's a lot of movement! Congrats to those folks! I only hear great things about CA.

Plus about 6 to Jetblue over the past 6 months and two for Virgin. Plus one to the FAA.

Things are picking up but one thing to consider is that pre IAD and pre 117 we had about 165 pilots. We're at about 215 right now and still hiring. Those people leaving might just offset the closing of CLE.

We've actually increased block hours since the Cleveland closure.. In fact were now up the two lines of flying we were down previously due to staffing

Awesome! What is your typical line hold average block per month? 85+ hours?

Yes, however we are about 1,000 block hours down from July of last year according to the scheduling update.
