Technically, the aft jumpseat is for CommutAir employees only per our GOM. Course I said technically

37 with a jump seater is possible, but pretty rare if your doing it by the book. It really depends on if the crew is willing to "play ball" so to speak (aka stuff every bag you can under seats, children...ect)

Has C5 ever hired DECs or does the contract allow it? Would they look at a guy with a DH8 type rating, lots of time on type and ATP as DEC or is all upgrading internal?

Thanks. Any idea what the time requirements for the left seat are?

Last I heard the July prognosis for upgrade was about 2.5 years

It has crept up to about 2.5 years but we've had at least 10 CAs turn in their two weeks notice in the last month or so. The beginning of this year saw very few new hires so they held back upgrading; However, the last couple new hire classes were between 8-10 people so we've been doing ok since the new LOA kicked in. As long as new-hires keep coming in the door, I expect upgrades to continue and the overall time for upgrade to drop back to 2 years like it usually is.

Average overnights out of IAD for a line holder first officer? Average legs per day? Thanks!
