I think they will be running classes for a while. Word is we have a lot of FO's trying to leave for other regionals and we've hhad a few captains leave for bigger airlines. My best guess, upgrade is about 1.7 to 2 years. Not a bad place to wworkk if you can deal with the pay.

Looks like classes every month. One class of 9 going through right now and not assigned bases yet. FO's being divided equally between the 3 bases. CLE is just senior for Captains. Pay sucks and reserve rules suck but upgrade is probably moving towards <2 years. Get in and get out.

Is the scheduling and culture pretty decent there these days? Take long to hold a line? I am an optimist but I see no reason why one can't enjoy the dash 8 and go straight to a "career worthy" company after putting a little time in here. Seen anyone do that?

Commutair vs Republic

Commutair about 2 year upgrade. Pay average based on APC Q200 pay scale.
23+25+45+47+48= $188 for 5 years
188/5 = $37.6

Republic is 6 year upgrade but let's say it goes to 4 year upgrade.
23+31+36+37+67= $194 for 5 years
194/5 = $38.8 hr average

At Commutair you'd also have a lot more turbine PIC maybe be a line holder faster. Things of course change from one day to the next. Ie mergers, more planes, less planes etc...

I've been here for a year and a half and I'm relatively happy. My biggest complaint is the schedules (namely the 85-95 hour bid window) but aside from that and the pay I have no reason to complain. If the bid window was lowered to something more reasonable (say 75-85 hrs) I could easily get 16-18 days off a month but for now I'm stuck with 14-15 off bidding in the top 25% of my base.

I live in base and that makes a BIG difference in QOL at any regional.
