I can tel you there are probably 100 people already on the magic list.

When I interviewed they said “give us a year and we wish you well at United”. Then it turned into “you need 1000 pic at C-5”. Then it was “your position in the program goes off the date you were accepted”. Then it went to seniority order of those accepted. Then it went to seniority order and those who failed the first time around could jump in front of you if they made it on their second try. So I guess it changed several times in 5 months. Also they keep the flow list “classified” so you never know exactly where you stand. They told me they didn’t want to embarrass those who didn’t get selected.
All of this is incorrect. I don’t mean offense but it sounds like you didn’t understand how the CPP works. The rules of the CPP have never changed since it’s inception in 2015, except that C5’s alottted % of the UAL new hire classes went from 5% to 10%. After you pass the Hogan and interview you must acquire 1k PIC time or 3k total time at C5. There are currently only 3 pilots that have completed the requirements for the CPP and those 3 will “flow” in Dec. There are about 70-80 pilots in the CPP right now. C5 will have sent 34 pilots to UAL via the CPP by the end of 2018.

Are you sure that's correct? I thought it was 3000 total AND 1000 TPIC, not OR.

100% positive. 1k pic or 3k total time, all in service to C5. All of this information and all of the CPP documents that have been released are on the C5 ALPA website.

Default alternate mins?

In preparation for the interview, I'd like to be able to answer regarding alternate airport minimums. 121.625 states the alternate airport weather must be "at or above the weather mins specified in the certificate holder's OpSpecs"

What are these OpSpecs mins for Commutair alternates? Thanks.

Additionally, 121.617 states,
If the weather conditions at the airport of takeoff are below the landing minimums in the certificate holder's operations specifications for that airport..."

Are these alternate takeoff mins generally standardized to something, or are they different for each airport? If it's different for each airport, how do you find that out?

I found it myself. OpSpec C055:

add 400ft and 1 sm to the cat I landing mins for airports with one nav facility, or

add 200' and 1/2 sm to the higher DH and vis when the airport has 2 nav facilities (with different identifiers)

Thanks anyway. If I'm still wrong or missing something, please steer me clear.

If you are currently doing 91 flying they don’t expect you to know that stuff.

With the 1 navaid 2 navaid rule, the 2 nav facilities have to be for different runways.
