Does CommutAir have a commuter policy? If so what is it?

Commutair pays a little bit more than SkyWest-1st year.

If you upgrade after a year, you could make more as a captain at Commutair than you would on 2nd year pay at SkyWest.

The question was what times were people getting interviews with, not hired. I have not "gone" anywhere yet. Not one black mark on my record and never even pulled over. I put my paperwork in with C5 because I am looking to stay in the northeast.

1. Upgrade time at SKW for the bro is at 4yrs, CRJ 5yrs. However, theres a lot in the works and more airframes are coming, so those times will drop.

2. 2nd yr pay on the RJ is 39hr goes up in 2013, 100% deadhead pay, block or better, and performance checks which you can roll back into your 401K. I know 2nd year FOs that clear 40k here easily.

3. SKW doesn't treat their pilots like dog meat. You won't find F-15 fighter jocks or B1 drivers at C5 unless youre T.M. but here at SKW it's the norm and it ain't by coincidence.

Someone arguing CommutAir would be a better choice than Skywest?

They must have really upgraded the Kool Aid in Cleveland since I left.

I feel bad for anyone that has flown F-15s or B1s and has ends their mill career only to start working for a regional like SkyWest. I'm not trying to knock on SkyWest, it's a good place to go and fly your first jet for the starving CFI.

I just don't understand why people quit their jobs at one regional only to start at the bottom at another.

Is SkyWest really that much better than every other regional?

Yes... And these military guys are fresh off retirement and since the majors aren't hiring big numbers yet, they come here and get 121 time. But like I said, these guys have done their homework, which is why you don't see them at C5

More airframes coming...

Do you mean more 76-seat DCI aircraft while several 50-seat DCI aircraft get parked?

The E120 fleet seems to be slowly shrinking...

Delta doesnt have SKW by the balls. And being that Delta wants to take 50seat flying away from 9E and OH ( which they can) doesn't mean they can take them from SKW. Delta doesn't pay our leases or own our airplanes we do. There's more flying coming, it's been circulating around the patch but NDAs has everyone tight lipped enough to not know who it's for. We put a bid n for Eagle flying, Alaska wants us to pick up more flying and Airways has been pushing hard for us to do more flying for them. As of now, there's no official word who it's for, but know this.... There have been some BIG new hire classes going on the last few months and are planned to continue until the end of the year... Coincidence? I think not...

I'm aware that Inc controls most of the SkyWest leases and owns most of the ASA birds.

Where is that new flying coming from? Delta, United, US Airways or someone else?
