Define almost immediately, I’m strongly considering leaving for EDV or PDT

Immediately, immediately.

However, they also have a Dash draw down to accomplish...

“EWR D8 Pilots: Even though you were displaced effective 11/1, management is requiring you to bid for November. They will positive space you to/from IAD to sit reserve.“

EWR D8 pilots on reserve until their class date comes up? Eesh.

We just had guys going through Jet FO systems and got pulled to finish training as Captains. FAA has approved us for street Captains at PDT.

That about sums up this company.

What do you suggest the company to do? I understand it sucks for those guys, but what other options are there?

How about not forcing senior, line-holding, Newark-based dash pilots to sit reserve in Dulles even though they weren't awarded Dulles as their domicile during any vacancy or displacement. If you are a union representative, please do us all a favor and recuse yourself from any future discussions with management.

Not force line-holders to sit reserve for no apparent reason.

"Line-holder" means nothing at this company.

There's no lines in EWR on the D8.

If you are getting displaced into the jet and am waiting for a class, the company owes you a DH and a room at the end of the night (because your base is EWR and you're out of base). If you displaced into IAD D8, you made a choice and that's your new base (and the company is doing you a solid).

I've done it in the Jet when EWR opened. I'm still amazed when I get a turn through IAD despite it being my base (and currently holding a line).

I sometimes wish the union would negotiate a TDY LOA, but I'm really worried they would mess it up and then the company would abuse us even worse.
