SOS: Management and Pilot Association
Rumors of downgrades: If these come to pass during the aircraft displacement, it will be the most damaging management misstep in the last 3-years. Growing airlines don’t downgrade. Potential new hires can look over past missteps by management, I don’t think they would over look this. Don’t downgrade.

I do think that it will be limited to the last 1-3 D8 "street captain classes"
And only because there are apparently 20+ FO's that are now eligible to bid for CA that are senior to these guys / gals.
They aren't going to downgrade any ERJ CAs, I'm willing to bet $ on that. That would be a gross negligence waste of training time and money.

They probably are likely to downgrade.

It might get strange with CQFs because I don't know if they count as FO or CA spots.

and white. If they have a set amount of CA slots and they’re are Dash CA’s senior to Jet CA’s, they can be displaced.

I’m not saying they are going to go against the seniority. I’m saying they will upgrade everyone who bids captain that is senior to the most Jr ERJ captain.
We are still taking airplanes. To downgrade someone only to upgrade them in 3 months is not the logical solution. We will be fat on erj captains for a couple months.

Party’s Over
Don’t let the door hit you on the way out.
Mgmt’s dumb but they aren’t stupid. They aren’t hiring and don’t care about attrition because they aren’t getting 40 jets. By the time the pilots realize that the seniority list will have shrunk to around 225. Then the list will shrink back to about 175. The only people left will be the folks who can’t go anywhere else.
Last one out don’t forget to get the lights.

Growth
Who in their right mind would give this company more aircraft? They’ve had almost 2 years and they can’t even properly operate the jets UAL gave them so far. Hope you guys are able to land on your feet. There are a lot of ASA refugees out their right now.

Has anyone considered this
So what happens in 2019 if United’s scope clause doesn’t increase and they have to reduce the regional jet flying?

Good question. My guess would be the company that has ownership in them.
