There have been some RTFs in the last couple weeks, and yes I would say the percentage is higher than others when you only have 160+ departures a day. Looking at all regional carriers, and even mainline, I see everyone has their day. A RTF is not necessarily an "emergency," and could be out of an abundance of caution. Also, keep in mind that our Dash-8s don't have acars, we can't easily work with dispatch and sometimes a RTF is the best option.

New Hire Questions
I apologize if starting a new subject in this thread is a foul, but as a new guy I have a couple questions (and it relates to getting an offer for training this summer with C5).
* Is it OK to sign the offer and keep interviewing? (Ethical dilemma?)
* Second (totally different question) when you don't know in advance what aircraft you'll fly (Dash or ERJ) that makes studying memory items and anything else a challenge before training. Suggestions? If senior in the class (oldest?) maybe I'll get my choice? It doesn't seem like you could bank on that. I don't know yet how the company answers such a question...

I see no data of any emergency landings posted anywhere on the ssd pages that we are allowed to pull. As stated, give some details or you are just blowing a bunch of smoke.

The details are vague, but code TA is aircraft maintenance and code XA is ATC, these two seem to be the most common reason for RTG. There are a few RTF in the past couple weeks, but the claims on here seem to be inflated.
EDIT: Be sure to check out all the other partners too, like mainline and their 4 RTF in one day last week. Must be a safety issue? ...
