The CPP interviews being canceled is what i was referring to, my bad.

C5 cannot afford to close IAD as a crew base, you will just be deadhead to EWR to pick up and end your flying. To end up with just EWR as a base on paper, would lead to many people leaving. So just make it a paper base and shift the flying.

United will still be running classes but they won't be taking CPP guys from C5 until end of summer. It does say they will still make 2017 goals of sending people.

But for those that want to read it for yourself, here it is.
"We will not be interviewing in May or June and are hoping to have July dates available but those will not be solidified until the month prior."

Latest pilot hiring update
Updated May 3, 2017
Thru our May 2 Basic Indoc class, we have added 253 new hire pilots to the family. We have also welcomed back 41 furloughed pilots and 22 pilots who had been out on leaves of absence, for a total of 316 new/returning pilots so far this year.
These 316 pilots will now help us fly our summer block hours and we will be taking a break from BI classes for the summer months. We plan to resume new hire classes in November. As of today, we have 134 pilots in our new hire pool and will probably add another 45 to that number as we wind down our new hire interviews during the third week of this month.
As decisions are made on our future fleet plan, we will ultimately have a better idea of what the fall of this year looks like for hiring, as well as 2018 and beyond, so stay tuned.
As always, plans are subject to change and we will update this site with any significant modifications.

Just the standard hslightnin fear-mongering going on and another clear indicator that he has no idea what he's talking about.
