[QUOTE=hslightnin;2334254]First D8 gets parked this month. 5th 300 gone by October. 200's start 60 days later.

Amazing. According to poster boy with the screen name "No Lies" none of your dash 8's will be parked. Seems he does not know all as he claims.

EFB's still in planning stages. Might end up with ForeFlight or that Lufthansa deal instead if Jepps. No news on retention bonuses. Class sizes have been smaller than they anticipated. New WB system submitted to FAA. 45-60 days we should get it back.
The bigger take alway for me was IaD isn't expected to grow any more on the ERJ side. 60-65% of the ERJ hours will be out of EWR by June(I think he said)
ForeFlight?? Hate those damn NOS charts.

Guess I should read that thing. Hard to get motivated when I'm sitting at home.

This is interesting. The new seniority list came out.
We lost 11 pilots in March instead of adding.
That's 31 less pilots then we needed,
Another month like that and I don't know if we would be able to catch up.

If C5 wants more pilots they will have to attract them with money like every other airline. Not everyone is as excited about the growth as they are. I don't know why it's taking so long for them to figure this out. There are definitely opportunities for career advancement here, but the reserve rules, soft pay and take-home pay are nowhere near the top. I hope the leadership has some sort of plan to attract new faces. Until then, the class sizes will speak for themselves.

What are these Reserve rules you are talking about?

I see what you did there. I think this is the only regional airline that puts every reserve pilot on airport reserve. Quality of life is bad right now because we are growing, but there are quick upgrades and fast seniority available. Which weighs more than the other is up to the individual.. But some money and better work rules would make this place a lot more attractive. We are playing a numbers game and right now C5 is falling behind.

Oh wow, so I wonder what will happen to IAD DH8 displacements? Just go sit jet reserve in iad after all the dashes are gone?
