A guy in the July class isn't getting the upgrade call either.

If he decided to bid for the upgrade just recently, there hasn't been a new vacancy announced for several weeks. As more planes and people come in, more vacancies will be announced and the quick upgrades will continue.

How is the CPP to United program going? Been researching the requirements; I'm curious how many people have reached the 1000 TPIC minimum yet and actually got a class date at United?
Just looking at my options and looking to return to 121. I am currently flying part 91 PIC making some decent $$$$ but this isn't where I want to stay long term. I have a fair amount prior 121 and a bit of TPIC time. I just want to read between the lines and see if it's worth it to go for just the flow? My friend was at Compass and flowed to NWA/DL a few years back, but there was a nice little gem where the company could involuntarily push back your Delta class date 90 days extra. Which I'm told they did with virtually everyone because were short on pilots.
Anything like that I should be aware of at Commute? What are they telling guys the potential flow time is during the interview? Thx.

Once and if you pass both, then you have to get the required hours and wait your turn until the more senior guys or those that entered the program before you go first. We did have one guy that has only been here about 2 years that has already started training at UA.

First, we do not have a flow. When hired, you get to take the hogan assessment from UA. If you pass that, then you get to interview at UA. If you do not pass either one the first time, then you get one more shot after one year has passed.

My understanding so take it for what it is worth, it is the same percentage getting through as those that are given interviews off the street. The hard part with UA is getting the invite for the Hogan when you are not in the program. You have to fit in their algorithm to get the invite for the Hogan. The CPP program bypasses that step and the technical interview.

I know that getting hired off the street will be more difficult now that they are growing the CPP program. XJT gets 25% of each UA new hire class, but most of the jr guys there will never get the chance before they close the doors in a couple of years. There is some Lufthansa Flight Training school that is also in the program. I'm sure you will see Air Wisconsin with the same program soon.
