Pursuant to the currently anticipated fleet plan, the first Embraer E145 aircraft is expected to enter service in April 2016, and the fleet size and routes flown will grow through the addition of 40 Embraer E145 aircraft. Employee recruiting and FAA processes are already underway.
40 ERJ added to a fleet of 21 D8.
Find anything written from the company or UA saying the D8 will be replaced with ERJs and beers are on me.

Is there any place that it states the Dash's are being replaced by the ERJ's? Is there a memo that states we are still growing to 61 aircraft or more total?

I will let you connect the dots on your own. It is written, but it may not be all written in one letter. I will buy my own beer. Thanks

This does not affect our long-term plan to add 61 aircraft under our CPA with United, and our pilot hiring goals for 2017.

How is reserve life at C5? Easy to fly a lot (as a captain)? How effective are trips (hours per duty day) on average?

Notice the difference between internal memos and press releases. This just came out today.
These needs have developed as CommutAir executes plans to triple in size over the next 2 years through the addition of 40 Embraer ERJ145 aircraft

Reserve QOL is prertty poor compared to other regionals. That said, on the jet you'll fly everyday. The dash has very little captain reserve coverage right now, so you'll probably be busy on it as well.

Reserve QoL compared to other IAD based regionals is great though, well that is a pretty low bar.....lol

Is it true almost all reserve at c5 is airport reserve? If that's true, ouch! Also, is there a DEC program on the dash?

Yes, almost completely airport reserve. Upgrade is based on seniority, no DEC program. That being said, the most junior captain on the dash was hired less than a week ago.

So you would get typed as an FO and then go straight back to class for upgrade?
