For a troll he makes some good points. It will be interesting to see how much of the backlog we can push through once they can get a majority of the checkairman out of stl and onto the line doing IOE. Sounds like most if the 8 new instructors are finished with their training, and the last couple of them scheduled to finish real soon.....that should at least start making a dent in the backlog, but I agree that they probably need to put a hold on deliveries, and class or two to catch up. I doubt united would be too keen on this idea though.

I heard directly from the chief pilot they are hiring off property sim instructors. The chief pilot was confident that once our current ground instructors are doing IOE the backlog should be eliminated.in the meantime, everyone should take off their tinfoil hats and go outside.

the instructor/checkairman is only half the problem....they also need more sim slots, as one of the two in stl has been booked for the next 6 months by piedmont. Guess we made a mistake and didn't secure it when we thought we had.

The guys currently in indoc are the ones I was taking about. They most all got the jet and several got jet captain right away. I'm gonna get in soon, before this gravy train leaves the station!!

Does C5 ever use the sims down at FSI Hobby? I think CAE in DFW has a couple as well.

They are looking at all possibilities right now, including one that is not in the USA.

Not true, nobody in the current indoc class "got jet captain". You say you are "gonna get in soon" but you post information as if you already work here. Either way, please don't provide incorrect info. It does not help anyone.

That's what I call a quick 180. Jesus...

Good grief! That's the most well defined 180 I've seen lately.
