A CQF can't be forced to bid anything they don't want.

They aren't CQF yet, they are FO's in upgrade training.

how is the process for CQF done? I would imagine it involves extra right seat events in the sim or checkride. Also, do they have to tell you before your captain upgrade that they are dual seat qualifying you? Trying to get an idea of how the process works. Also, once you are assigned CQF, do you have to stay a CQF until you are above the 10% margin, or is that just when they can force you to be a CQF, and as soon as you are above 10% you no longer have to be a cqf?

It actually looks like they aren't doing CQF at all in the Jet.
It appears the Dash CQFs are only D8 FO's that upgrade into the D8.
So im guessing their CQF status will expire when they run out of right seat currency.
They list CQF as FO on the company website, thats how I'm making these opinions.

I thought the same thing, but per the CP call last week, they are now working to get CQF's on the jet. Looking at the contract, it's actually a pretty good gig in regards to schedule options.

I believe new hire captains will go through sims and IOE as captain, then will return to do right seat training at a later date. Perhaps after 75 hours, to keep from green on green?

This is essentially what I was told would happen. I'm a new hire waiting for upgrade training. Upgraded out of indoc. When I was told I had been awarded captain, I was specifically told it was as a CQF.
As such, I could bid as an FO, work as an FO, and get paid as an FO. Or, I could bid as a CA, but might be scheduled to fly FO legs/trips, in which case I would still be paid as a CA. I was also told there was no time frame for the FA training, and that it might be awhile after I finish CA sims/IOE.
