Few questions: How is open time paid? Is deadhead paid 100%? How much are you guys/gals crediting a month on the dash vs jet.

Thanks!

Open time i think is supposed to be paid 100%. But it seems to be negotiable, I've seen guys ask for 200% and get it.

DH is 75% now, 100% July 18'

Check PM for link to contract.

The Dash is fat on FO's. The reserves aren't flying much at all.

I hope the MEC uses the raises at AAG to fix the reserve rules here before taking that $$ carrot.

I haven't heard anything from the union about how the talks concerning negotiation of a competitive pay raise are going since the wholly owned raises. Either they are going stunningly well or they're just gonna wait for classes to shrink to 5 or so.

There is too much riding on the companies ability to fill classes, the way the $$ has been flowing in other areas I doubt they are going to play that game.

Still leaves us fat on FO's for the Dash.
What you mean when you say they lost 5 to 6 guys to the erj? They were trained on the dash at first and then C5 retrained them on erj? I hope its all jet october. ))

All official indications as of the last month or so indicate that new hire classes will be for the jet only from here on out.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Direct Entry Captains here soon, even though the company seems to really not want to do it.

That's correct. 30% of the class needs to be offered to existing pilots.

Thats not going to work unless they start parking Dashes in January at the latest.
If you look at the bids there were a lot of changes about 2-3 weeks ago. People saw how Jr the ERJ was and realized they could hold a better schedule or even get off reserve by bidding over.
30% of the class has to be offered to Dash guys, unless they start cutting the transitions out they will have to run a dash class every other month.

We did hire street captains (5) in August, just they won't call them that. They completed Indoc and were awarded captain before Systems.
