Hello, I have a few basic questions regarding new hires, 1.) Wiil a new hire with an ATP dash-8 type be required to go through all phases of training at commut or can it be expedited? 2.) Is EWR the junior base, what is approx reserve time and if not how long to hold? 3.) How does the bonus work, half after IOE half after 1 year? 4.) any rumors of a true flow down the road? 5.) Lastly, how long is training from ground to sim, soe, to flying the plane? Thanks!

1.) You will need to complete initial new hire training, since its not a type check ride for you, you wouldnt have to do like 2-3 items on the ride.
2.) EWR is the jr base.
3.) 100% of the bonus must be mailed before you start class(so they aren't on the hook for 1/2 the taxes, and probably a APLA thing)
4.) Somthing will have to change since they arent taking a majority of the peeps, and when word gets out itll be hard to fill classes.
5.)Its about 3 weeks of indoc, 2 weeks of sims. Right now there is about 3 weeks off between sims and IOE

Ground is minimum guarantee. No per diem. At sim you get per diem round the clock - 10 days or so. Towneplace suites in Renton is the hotel. It's newly renovated into studio apartments.

Hello guys-
Just looking at different regionals right now, submitted my application last night. As far as the hiring process go, any particular timing expected from c5?
What equipment is flown in EWR? As far as I know- junior base, right. My biggest issue is I got out of the military a few years ago and my last flight was my ATP check ride in 2012. Perhaps not the most competitive package, but I would love to work based out of EWR as I just started from scratch after a divorce.

I'm guessing you'll be okay with an ATP and having been away from flying for a couple years. Lots of guys doing that these days. Both bases are available quickly due to the massive hiring. EWR is a -8 base.

Good luck!

Just for clarification, once United gives you the green light on your interview can they go back and say no we don't want you now for no reason?
