Just read the TA. The QOL improvements are great, but anyone on the DHC-8 is getting the shaft on compensation. $4 to $6 raises for Captains, giving us less than $60,000 a year unless you've been at the company for 10 years....its a joke.

Might wanna check your drinking habits, when a group of pilots look at you "like you are crazy", there's your sign......

Don't forget about below tsa rates on the 145. This contract is a joke. In the interest of the company they pushed this through just like the last one. And alpa as usual doesn't care what pilots make as long as they're getting their cut. This is going to turn out just like the first one though 90% of people said they voted no, and it passed with an overwhelming majority. At the end of the day people see an extra buck and can't think what the ramifications of voting a concessionary contract in are for the rest of the industry.

Point is if you are going to swing your UAL-tatooed dong around you must realize you are talking to folks who do more complicated things every day than you do...Was that you in the 737 or the Dreamliner circling in night IMC at mins in a snowstorm up in lake snow country or coming over the mountains getting your teeth knocked out in a place like ROA? How are those mainline EAS routes going? No comparison...but you can bet your 6 figure salary I'm doing it and your friends at Commutair do too. Make room...
Everyone comes from somewhere so you are not Charles Lindbergh and neither were we. However, we did work with inferior equipment to what is operated currently.
The point that is attempting to be made is that there shouldn't be a mass entry without screwing. Even with screening a few nut jobs get past the filter. Without a screen the number just gets larger. If you don't think you can pass an interview then sit in front of the mirror, practice, do some prep. Work on yourself and stop complaining about the ogre Mainline pilots that are keeping you in a pigeon hole.

The sad story is you haven't a clue about how the industry was prior to the days of autopilot and pressurization. Many of us flew night freight in tailwheel B-18's, no autopilots turboprops in challenging conditions.

Plenty of people at lakes will argue with you over your view of the "no autopilot days". Lots of guys still doing this earning **** pay and being told they need jet time by people like you who never flew one until mainline.
