CommutAir Rumors and Info

Correct! UA doesn't want to be tied down to any one group. AAG is obligated to flow from a select group and that is something to avoid.
If true, then how do the current C5 pilots, who are included in this deal, get their interview?
As CBreezy pointed out, this is nothing more than a preferential interview. Many have asked how C5 will staff these 145's. Simple, C5 offers a $7k sign-on bonus plus $5 per 121 flight hour up to $8k (1,600 part 121 hours). Current XJT FO's who have no upgrade in sight, and no interview at UA in sight could jump from the sinking XJT ship for an easy $15k, probably upgrade within a few months, and work under a contract that is almost as good as their XJT contract (heard that last part from a pretty good source). On top of that, they would have a guaranteed interview at UA should they meet the minimums of the CPP.

Lol whatever man. Its not like its hard for them to find some other underpaid person to sit there and listen in. Youre just a flow basher and thats fine. But ill take this environment and airlines getting flow over having to interview with 30 other people at a damn regional just a few years ago.

Yes a UA rep will be there to interview every candidate that is opting to join the program. You do not have to meet all requirements on CommutAir's website immediately... so you don't have to have a bachelor's degree to get accepted into the program. The basic qualification for new hire pilots is they just have to have an offer of employment from C5. You do have to pass all UA required interview steps- Hogan Assessment & UA interview- and have a second chance at entering the program if you bomb it the first time. Right now they are doing a Skype Interview then if you are offered employment then they schedule you the UA interview as soon as first and second week of December. It's a pathway and not a "no interview flow" but it does get you in front of UA ahead of the 25,000 applicants they currently have in their database.

Seems pretty self explainatory...
CommutAir
Although no specifics like the flow clauses with AA. At least not publically available. Who cares at this point, if you are at CommutAir good for you, you have a way out of regional hell.
How and when do I get hired by United Airlines?
You will not need to complete another interview or be subject to other elements of United’s traditional pilot selection processes.

There are a lot of things going on here I have a feeling this isn't just about staffing RJs but also about keeping regional pilots 'in the fold' and out of the cockpits of the big ME carriers like Emirates/Qatar not to mention LCC competitors here at home. They can kill two birds with one stone with these programs.
